Astro Boy Commission

I don’t normally do commissions - there’s something about the pressure of a person solely relying on you to bring their dream to life always made me a bit uneasy. Especially during the beginning stages of my art career.

I made a lot of bad choices out of fear and watch blessings walk away because I couldn’t bring myself to say “no, this is out of my element” or simply “I don’t want to do this job”. The outside will make you think that you have to accept every commission because .. MONEY. But if it’s not making you smile then what’s the point.

With that being said.. I’m so happy I took this commission. Everything about it was awesome, even the client who made me go out of the way to get a canvas roll (Never spent that much on a canvas before) but damn it was worth it.

Now, I’m not going to be one to give a detailed explanation into everything I do, mainly because I kind of black out and flow with whatever I have in front of me. But I will say - this piece was 30” x 30” Oval cut.
