One Last Laugh

Back in 2018 I want to say, I began to journey into mixed media development. I wanted my style to be a bit more edgy, and cohesive. I saw myself getting my involved with anime style broad lines and needed to take a break just to explore more options into my personal style and how I like to do things.

Speaking to the other artist out there that’s reading this - It takes talent to recreate, it takes a genius to innovate, keep pushing your comfort zone outward.

Anyway, I had an idea to mashup Tony Montana with Heath Ledger’s Joker

In my eyes with was a “DUH” moment. Just based on the emotion in the actual scene, where Tony just killed his best friend in a drug induced rage and now he’s just sitting at a table, with a face full of powder waiting for the end.

There’s something about Chaos that is very peaceful, I kind of understand what the Joker was hinting at..

This piece has helped me build confidence in my painting style. I’m very messy, however I know colors, I’m sticking too my guns and using darker colors to shade rather than black. I try my very very best to not use pure black because it reminds me of a place I’m trying to advance from.
